Definition

A Business Solution Provider, or BSP, is a vendor approved by Meta to resell access to the WhatsApp Business Platform. BSPs handle the technical onboarding, phone-number registration, message-template approval, and billing of conversation-based pricing. They also typically provide value on top of the raw API — chat inboxes, automations, analytics, and integrations. Businesses can choose between a BSP-managed setup or going direct via the Meta Cloud API, depending on the team's technical capacity.

A SaaS company chooses a BSP to register its WhatsApp number, get its first message templates approved, and integrate WhatsApp with its existing CRM in a few days rather than weeks.
