Outlook is Microsoft's email and calendar product, available as part of Microsoft 365 for business and as a free personal service through Outlook.com. Connecting Outlook to WellPlan lets each user send and receive email from their Outlook or Microsoft 365 mailbox inside the unified inbox, with conversations threaded against the matching contact record. Sequences and one-to-one replies appear in Sent Items, while replies sync back into WellPlan so teams see full conversation history alongside SMS, WhatsApp, and other channels. Sales and support stop bouncing between Outlook and the CRM.
Features
Common use cases
Run cold outreach from a real Outlook mailbox
A B2B SDR sends prospecting emails from their Microsoft 365 mailbox through WellPlan. Replies flow back into the unified inbox, the SDR works inside WellPlan, and security teams keep emails authenticated by Microsoft's own sending infrastructure.
Sync shared mailbox replies
A professional services firm routes its info@ Outlook shared mailbox into WellPlan. Inbound enquiries create contacts, the team replies from WellPlan with full client history, and Outlook's threading remains intact for the people who still work inside Outlook directly.
Nurture leads with multichannel sequences
A marketing agency builds nurture sequences that send email through each AE's Outlook mailbox and SMS through a shared number. Workflow logic pauses when a lead replies on any channel, so prospects never get a redundant follow-up.
How setup works
- 1Sign in to WellPlan with the user whose Outlook mailbox you want to connect.
- 2Open WellPlan's Integrations settings and click Connect Outlook to start Microsoft OAuth.
- 3Grant the requested Mail and Calendar permissions for the Microsoft account.
- 4Send a test email from WellPlan and confirm it appears in Outlook's Sent Items and the contact's timeline.
Frequently asked questions
Does this support Microsoft 365 and personal Outlook.com?+
Yes. Both Microsoft 365 (business) and personal Outlook.com mailboxes connect through Microsoft Graph and OAuth. Microsoft 365 organizations may require admin consent to install third-party apps, depending on tenant security policies.
Are there Outlook sending limits?+
Microsoft enforces per-user sending limits — generally 10,000 messages per day for Microsoft 365 mailboxes, with shorter-term rate limits inside that. Personal Outlook.com has lower limits. Heavy outbound campaigns should use a dedicated sender such as SendGrid or Mailgun.
Will the integration sync my Outlook calendar?+
If you grant calendar scopes during setup, WellPlan can sync booked calendar events with your Outlook calendar so confirmed bookings appear on your schedule. Time blocks created in Outlook can prevent double-booking when WellPlan checks availability.
Can multiple users on the same domain connect separately?+
Yes. Each WellPlan user typically connects their own Outlook mailbox so replies route to the right inbox. Shared mailboxes can also be connected with the right Microsoft 365 permissions for team-wide channels like info@ or support@.
